Generally, you can expect to get a little more bud for your buck in states and countries where cannabis is legal. CANADA
Medicinal marijuana has been available to Canadians for quite some time now, with recreational legalization in place for July 2018. According to a sample size of 10860 people, the average cost of an ounce of weed in Canada is $210. Vancouver, B.C, Canada’s weed capital sells an ounce at $94. Torontonians can expect to pay closer to $148 for a pot of the same quality.
UNITED STATES
As of Jan. 2018, 30 states have legalized marijuana to some degree. California announced legalization on the first of this year and currently sits at $250 for an ounce average. In New York City, New York, picking up an ounce of a high-quality strain will likely cost you about $500. The cheapest price in America for the best quality is $210 in Oregon according to the relatively low 17% tax on pot. The cost tends to get cheaper the further south you go.
UNITED KINGDOM
The average price for an ounce of medium-to-high quality cannabis in the U.K is just under $300 CAD, according to a sample size of around 1000.
FRANCE
While the country has a large group of stoners within its borders (approx. 700,00 people a day), it still has very strict policies against its use. The sample size of 1,000 people showed that the average cost for an ounce is $302.
